Eddie
Instructor
Eddie’s passion for aviation began when he was just a little boy, attempting to fly from one tree limb to the next with varying degrees of success (and failure). Eddie’s father was a Paratrooper and Green Beret in the United States Army who took Eddie for his first skydive when he was only 17 years old and from there he was hooked! Eddie proudly followed in the footsteps of multiple generations of men in his family by serving his country while capitalizing on every opportunity the military provided to him to jump out of as many planes as possible. Over the last 30+ years, Eddie has been actively involved in a variety of forms of aviation including skydiving, B.A.S.E. jumping, wingsuit flying, hang gliding, paragliding and paramotoring. Eddie’s passion for aviation and commitment to sharing the thrill of flying with others has driven him to partner with Conor for the next chapter in life. Together they aim to provide exceptional training and discovery flights, allowing others to experience and participate in the magic of flight.
Conor
Instructor
Conor has been a resident of Jacksonville Beach for over 11 years. He shares a deep enthusiasm for aviation, which led him to pursue tandem instructor certification alongside Eddie. Conor is dedicated to teaching others the joys of flight and aims to foster a safe and enjoyable learning environment for aspiring paramotor pilots. He balances his professional life with family, as he is a husband and a new father.
Our Instructors
Our instructors have combined over 1000 hrs of paramotor flight time. Conor and Eddie are both passionate powered paraglider instructors who co-own Barefoot Flyers PPG. They hold multiple certifications including ASC BFI Instructor and USPPA instructor. Eddie and Conor are passionate about teaching and would be honored to help you become a paramotor pilot as well.
Our Location
Both our Training and Discovery Tandem Flights are operated out of Fernandina Beach airport. If you schedule an Instructional Tandem Flight, your Tandem Flight will lift off from Fernandina Beach airport. After a quick trip from the airport to the beach, you will get to explore the beautiful coastline of Fernandina Beach, Amelia Island, and Cumberland Island. You will see some of the wonderful local historical sites like Fort Clinch state park and the Dungeness Ruins on Cumberland Island.
